By September of this year, foreign direct investments accepted in Kosovo reached the value of 201.5 million, which represents an increase of 10.5 per cent compared to the same period last year.
According to recent Kosovo Central Bank data (BQK), under the foreign direct investment structure, capital and investment fund in shares were characterised, while investments in debt instruments marked decline.
“Capital and stock investment fund, which accounts for about 91.2 per cent of the total FDI, reached 183.8m euros and scored 20.0 per cent growth. Debt-shaped FDI amounted to 17.6m euros, a drop of 39.5 per cent. The higher IHD growth was recorded in the financial services sector and other 30.2 euros, respectively, compared to the same period last year, as the higher IHD decline compared to the same period in 2016.” was reported in the report on the economic assessment of the three-month period.
