270 thousand citizens benefit from social schemes

So we have a concrete project, we at Initiatives have been trying to talk to citizens about their problems. This program point of our party has been a priority from the beginning. We have 22 thousand families that benefit from social assistance, are in two categories, those that no employed family members and those that have at least one member capable of work”, Recica said.

According to him, within this, MPMS has drafted a strategy for employment 2018-2021.

Only when we have an increased number of employees will social assistance requirements be met. With our budget, it does not promise that we will be able to meet all social assistance requirements. The German government has also invested in a larger project so far for employing Kosovo youth. We always remember the private sector we co-operate with and we want to advance youth employment”, Recica added.

He has also mentioned categories resulting from the war, which he has said had to face from the first days to the ministry.

“U has been denied the right of veterans and disabled, but after consultations with the government we have closely conveyed these categories which have been prevented from realising their rights”, he stressed.

MPMS leader during the interview in RTK has also spoken of the category of victims of sexual violence during the recent war in Kosovo. He has said that the treatment of victims of sexual violence has been his concern and has been treated very carefully.

We've taken decisions that we've put on the road compensation to this category, even though with compensation we won't enjoy this category because they're hurt and we're not done with them, so we're going to continue supporting this” category, Recica said further.

He did not want to comment on the number of victims of this category, said a budget was planned for them, but if demand increases in 2018, then budget increases would also be required. According to him, the commission for this category is currentised and the first cases are beginning to appear.

The minister did not fail to mention the pension scheme law, which he said has initiated change and fulfillment of this law. According to him, there have been cases when human rights violations and pensions have been misused.

As for the return of the pension fund from Serbia, Recica said it is a right that is denying the category in question and exceeding his work as minister.

“The solution should be sought beyond the ministry, and this issue should be discussed in the future in dialogue with Serbia. It's fair that citizens are being denied, their sweat has been changed, and they have to demand this right”, Recica has posted.

Speaking of the unemployment rate, he said that youth leads in the percentage of unemployed. But for that, as he said, it's working closely with August and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

No one is better called than August to make a plan. I have many young men and women who have skills and training, and with little support they can find a place for themselves. We'll be their voice and the budget we have will support them. Not only with the budget but also with various donors, as the number of employees next year will be higher”, Recica added.

Meanwhile, for the category of workers who do not have employment contracts, they are not sure and their work schedule is not respected, he said they are working closely with the EU office.

“We have sufficient space for the worker to have a high degree of security and schedule, since health is above all. Besides security and health, schedule, implementation of contracts in the new law will be affected by lehony, on this level we will take the practices of EU countries”, Recica said further.

He has also warned that the minimum wage now at 170 will still increase to more than 200 euros.
