Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi has reacted to today's arrests of dozens of people related to the April 27th events in the Assembly, among which there are deputies.
Xhaferi said he is not fully informed of the events in the country and sought to respect all procedures, Telegrafi Macedonia reports.
"By not having all the information, I think that the competencies of the Prosecutor are indisputable, but under the context of Article 64 of the Constitution and the 53st and 59th Law of the Parliament, I think there are obstacles to the implementation of” procedures, Xhaferi said among others.
He further said the MP cannot be deprived of freedom without judicial order.
