Falling Records

On January 26, 1972, 22-year-old flight manager Vesna Vulovic was aboard Yugoslavia's 367 flight board, when the plane exploded in the middle of the road to Belgrade. The incident occurred near Srbska Kamenice in Czechoslovakia.
Of the 28 people on that plane, Vesna was the only survivor, falling by 10,160 feet. The plane crash was allegedly due to a bomb planted on board. The girl had numerous fractures and remained in a coma 27 days, followed by 16 months of hospital stay.
The girl's miraculous survival entered the Guinness Book of World Records because of the longest decline without fatal or parachute - free consequences.

Russian hockey tragedy

A 12-year-old Parisian girl, Bahia Bakari, found herself in the water holding on to part of the ruins, while Yemeni Airway's flight to the islands of Komoros with 153 people on board ended in the waters of the Indian Ocean on June 30th 2009.
Bakar was caught behind the ruins for 10 hours, until a random fisherman saved him.
Besides Kassim Bakari, 152 other people aboard the flight board died.
The girl's story also became well - known because she could not swim as a miracle.

A Family Survivor

Reuben Van Assuw took over world media headlines after surviving an accident on an African Airways 330-,200 plane near the Libyan capital, Tripoli, on May 12, 2010. The accident killed 103 people, crew members and passengers, including the boy's parents and his older brother.
The nine-year-old boy was on his way home after a trip to safari to South Africa, where parents had celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary under an old Dutch tradition. Unaware and bleeding, Reuben was found hanging through the garbage.
I'm lying in a hospital. There are men and women. I don't know how I got here, I don't know anything”, Reuben told De Telegreef at the time, while he was still recovering from multiple foot fractures. Later, the boy was taken from his uncle and aunt in the Netherlands.
