According to a report by the Academy of Sciences of the National Institute of Medicine published in 2016, the fact that nurses or pharmacists cannot clearly distinguish the appointment of drugs from doctors ' instructions causes the unintentional death of about 7,000 people in the United States every year.
The problem, technology companies in collaboration with institutions are struggling to regulate it by introducing the technology-designing system, which would be used by doctors and would avoid such mistakes that many people cost their lives.
Google, Athena, Dell and many hospitals in America have already introduced this system that doctors will be offered for free.
A thousand people are dying, that's crazy. We have a solution to this problem and we haven't done it yet, says Glen Tuliman, chief of the Allsscripts company that established the computer program for drug descriptions.
