After many failures to ensure their presence in the courtroom, the Constitutional Court in Pristina has scheduled the upcoming session to four deputies of Movement “Determin”, Albin Kurti, Donika Cadaj-Bujupi, Albulen Haxhiu and Faton Topalli.
This session is scheduled to be held on Friday, December 1st.
The appointment of this date has confirmed the “Justice Trust”, the processr of Judge Bekir Caluldra, Mybera Latifi.
Otherwise, Kosovo Police, last Friday, had arrested the three deputies of Movement “Vetevendosje”, Albin Kurtin, Donika Kadaj Buyup and Albulen Haxhiun.
Their arrest was conducted on the Pristina Foundation Court's orders, which had issued warrants for their arrest after the same had not gone to the November 22nd session, in the trial of dropping tear gas in the Kosovo Assembly.
For their arrest, Kosovo Police had also had to use the spray, as colleagues of these MPs had tried not to allow Kurti's arrest, Kadaj Buyup and Haxhi.
The arrest of three deputies had been made in the foreign space of the Kosovo Assembly, while scheduled to continue the country's plenary and legislative hearings.
After the arrest, the Constitutional Court in Pristina had scheduled a month-long detention measure for the three MPs, but one day later, the Court of Appeals had changed security measures for them.
To Kurt and Qadaj-Buyup, house arrest is scheduled until Haxhiu is released.
For failing to participate in court hearings against Albin Kurti earlier, arrest warrants had been issued.
At the initial session to be held on April 21st of this year, the case's judge, Bekir Kaluldra, had warned that he would issue arrest warrants against Albin Kurti, as he had failed to present at the session.
However, Kurti's arrest warrant had been suspended shortly before holding the June 11th 2017 parliamentary elections, by Judge Kaluldra himself who had issued an arrest warrant.
Meanwhile, court hearings in this case had failed to be held again on September 13th of this year, with cases even then, the court had issued arrest warrants for MPs Albin Kurti and Donika Qadaj Bujupi, who had missed that session.
Also, because of the absence of these two MPs, the October 10th hearing had failed.
In addition, for throwing tear gas into the Kosovo Assembly, MEPs Ismail Kurteshi from Vetevendosje and Haxhi Shala are also charged with the Kosovo Initiative.
Otherwise, the indictment against the parliament of the Republic of Kosovo has been established by the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina on 16 December 2015.
They are accused of using a dangerous weapon or tool and obstructing an official person in carrying out his official duty.
