Serbian media report meeting between Ruci, Simic

“Simic stressed the key role in the reconciliation of Serbian and Albanian peoples, saying the two peoples should remain the pillar of peace and stability in the region,” the National Assembly of the Serbian National Party announced.

Albanian Parliament President Gramoz Ruci is on a two-day official visit to Kosovo.

Simic told Ruci that relations between Serbs and Albanians are on the rise <x0 fal of the efforts of the governments of Serbia and Albania, as well as of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, who stands for the European future of the entire region and the integration of the Balkans into the European Union”.

“Simic stressed that more must be done to improve the position of the Serbian people in Albania, to ensure the right to language and information in their native language, to preserve cultural and national identity in line with the highest European standards,” is said in the Serbian party's statement.

Ruci backed common guidelines on the path to European integration, such as the greatest interest of Western Balkan countries./Periscopi/
