Selimi: For Serbia to switch to offensive, Kosovo must add recognition

Serbian diplomacy is continuing to lobby against the state of Kosovo further against new recognitions.

Kosovo Parliament MP from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks Rexhep Selimi considers the Serbian side will continue with this practice until we create new recognitions.

Serbia is always going on with this practice, as long as we don't keep asking for new recognitions. Whoever would ask from today's Serbia not to do so would be wrong, so regardless of what Serbia did, no matter what Serbia lobbies, Kosovo would have to do its job to create new recognitions.”, Selimi said in a premonition for Indexline.

According to him, Serbia has created a kind of advantage from not advancing new recognitions.

We know how long we haven't had recognition and Serbia is exploiting this, so if we continue to have no new recognition then Serbia will not only enjoy lobbiing, but it will start offensive as they say of attracting recognitions of separate states.”, he has stressed further.

Selimi considers Serbia is trying to bring Kosovo back to zero, in order to strengthen its position on Kosovo in Brussels.

“Everything Serbia is doing today is to turn Kosovo to zero to strengthen its position in talks with Kosovo in Brussels.”, he has added.
