Salaries in Kosovo from 2012 marked increases, least in private sector

The data presented for the average gross salary and net, according to sectors, is in this report for 2012-2016, which will help policymakers orient their policies and in planning more effective ways in maintaining and motivating employees.
In 2012, the average gross salary in Kosovo was 431 euros, until 2016 was 519 euros, an increase of 88 euros, or 20.42%. While net wages of 384 euros, as it was in 2012, in 2016 rose to 457 euros, with 74 euros more, or 19.17%.
The average gross public sector salary in 2012, was 407 euros, until 2016 was 525 euros, up 118, or 28.9%. As net wages in this sector amounted to 353 euros in 2011, in 2016 increased to 449 euros, an increase of 96 euros, or 27.09%.
The private sector, in 2012, had an average gross salary of 367 euros, while in 2016 it had 371 euros, which increased by just 4 euros, or 1.09%. Until the net wage of 333 euros, as it was in 2011, rose to 337 euros, an increase of only 4 euros, or 1.20%.
The average gross salary in the public enterprise sector in 2012, was 518 euros, until 2016 was 660 euros, an increase of 142 euros, or 27.41%. The net wage, meanwhile, from 465 euros, as it was in 2011, amounted to 586 euros -- a total of 121 euros -- or 26.02%.
The highest wage rate in Kosovo was the public enterprise sector, until with lower salaries was the private sector.
To assess Kosovo's average wage level, nine (9) countries in the region have received salaries as samples: Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova.
The gross wages -- from nine (9) countries, which have been taken as specimens -- from the height of salaries Kosovo is positioned in the middle, while to net wages, it ranks after Montenegro and Romania in third place.
