Putin made these statements during the opening of the summit with the leaders of Turkey and Iran, in an effort to restore the peace process in Syria.
“There is a real possibility of ending the long-standing civil war in Syria”, Putin has said, ahead of talks with Iranian President Hassan Rohan and Turkish counterpart Recep Tayip Erdogan.
He added that these three countries have been able to prevent the destruction of Syria.
