The incidents reportedly occurred in the late 1990s when Oreske worked in the New York Times.
He has not issued any public statements concerning the charges that have been made despite journalists' attempts.
Two women on condition of anonymity spoke of the Washington Post, saying they were concerned about career development if their names became public.
