The separatist party of the dismissed Catalan leader, Charles Puigdemont, who is facing an arrest warrant issued by the central government of Spain, has said they want Pugdemont to run for president in the 21 December regional elections.
“We want Puigdemont to be the person who will wear the offensive we will take on December 21st in the election”, party spokeswoman Marta Pascal has said, broadcasting rel.
Puigdemont, who is located in Belgium, had warned Friday that he is considering part of the elections in Spain from Brussels.

On Friday, Spain has issued an arrest warrant against Puigdemon and his four associates, on charges of rebellion, misuse of public funds and disobedience.
