President Hashim Thai has said the Kosovo Army will take place and no one will be able to veto this process.

“A year ago as president of Kosovo, within my constitutional competencies, I have launched the process of transferring KSF to the Kosovo Armed Forces. I am convinced that this process is in the interest of all citizens, communities, security and peace in the region. The Kosovo Armed Forces present no kind of threat, just as the KSF today does not pose any kind of threat. The aim of KSF today and the Armed Forces will remain the same. This process is going towards the final phase”, Thaci said, writes Periscopi.

He has said there are some hesitations still in this respect, but with a broad debate, all these issues will be clarified.

Some NATO states consider this process to be made through constitutional changes. Others consider that the process could end with legal changes. What's important is that this whole project is legitimate”, Thaci said.

No one can deliberately block this process, no one can veto this process. I invite you without emotion and without prejudice at this conference today, but in the next few days, let's talk about it, everybody get into this conversation. Let's talk about arguments and dilemmas that all together, we find common reasons for the establishment of the Kosovo Armed Forces”, he said.
