On Tuesday, the National African Union-Patriotic Front of Zimbabwe (ZANU PF) will begin suspension proceedings against acting President Robert Mugabe, according to media reports.
Error comes after 230 party members Z ANU PF approved the decision after a deadline expired for Mugaben, “reports Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.
On Sunday, ZANU PF's central committee suspended 93-year-old Mugabe from the post of first party secretary, while also urging him to resign from the post of Zimbabwe President until noon Monday.
In his speech to the nation later that day, Mugabe, however, refused to stay down and vowed to remain as president.
Last week, the country's military took control of the television centre in the capital of Zimbeva, as well as the president's residence.
In a telephone conversation with his South African counterpart, Jacob Zuma, Mugabe confirmed that the army is holding him under house arrest. /Periscopi/
