AAK MPs told Kosovo Radio that such initiatives are not serious at all. Even connoisseurs of political circumstances stress that Kosovo does not need new elections for a while, due to processes that should be carried out by the current government.
Opposition warnings of the Hardinaj Government's collapse are not taking seriously the party leading central power. Rasim Selmanaj, deputy of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, stresses for Radio Kosovo that such initiatives are not serious by the opposition at all. Selmanaj even points out that such warnings are in the spirit of the November 19th election campaign.
These initiatives are mainly in the spirit of the election campaign, and especially now before the runoff, rather than it is a serious initiative. However, the right to motion exists and can prove it when opposition parties want. But, the Haradinaj government is continuing to work well and it is stable with regard to numbers in the 48x1> assembly.
Kosovo's entry into a new election process would only cause impasses in many areas, notes Nezir Kraki, political science legalist at the University of Paris. Kraki told Kosovo Radio that the current government must conduct many processes, and its collapse would create a new cycle of blockade for at least two more years.
“All delays that have been caused during the rule of Isa Mustaf, such as ratification of demarcation, blocking negotiations with Serbia, total deadlock with northern Serbs and all these major files that have blocked us in Kosovo, will be introduced in a new cycle of deadlock for perhaps a year or two. For now there is no interest in either the LDK or Kosovo in general going to the polls immediately. ”
Meanwhile, LDK officials have warned that they could file a no-confidence motion for the current government. Even the Vetevendosje Movement has warned that it supports any initiative to oust the government, led by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
