Opposition accuses Wessel of overstepping competencies and of violating Order

The passage of competencies and violations of Kosovo's Parliamentary Rule has, according to the opposition, Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli, with the appointment of members of the Parliamentary Commission for Stabilisation and Association, writes Koha Ditore today.
Without sending him to the Speaker of the Assembly, with a decision number 06-V-015, taken on 26 October, Wessel has appointed 13 members of this commission, including the chairman and deputy chairman of the Commission. All of them, with the decision signed by Wessel, have been appointed by a deputy.
Commission chairman has named PDK deputy or the third largest parliamentary group Xhavit Haliti, while deputy chairman has appointed AAK deputy or the fifth largest parliamentary group, Time Kadriaj.
According to Article 15 of the Parliament Rule, it is the headship that early in the election mandate, in agreement with parliamentary groups proposes the number and structure of parliamentary commissions, which the Assembly decides for. According to this article, headship even during the mandate, in agreement with parliamentary groups, when necessary, could propose the formation of new functional commissions.
