This became possible after an agreement Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj reached with KLA veterans' organisations. The prime minister has guaranteed war veterans, that by November 10th, the total of three salaries will be on veterans' count.

Kosovo Liberation Army Veterans Organisation Chairman Hysni Gucati said he has received assurances from Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj that veterans will receive their first legal pensions Friday. Gucati said veterans will be paid retroactively for the past three months.

“At the last meeting we had with the prime minister last night, the prime minister has pledged that pensions will be released on Friday, Tuesday. So we received the prime minister's decision very well and I believe that in the future we will not have problems with veterans' pensions. Pensions will be released tomorrow in three months, so 458 euros will be released on veterans' count tomorrow. ”

Officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, via electronic mail, announced to Radio Kosovo that they are awaiting the decree of the budget review law by Kosovo's president.

Prime Minister Haradinaj has said that next year, there will be no problems of this nature for the pensions of freedom fighters.
