Next month Presevo to hold extraordinary local elections

In this race for 38 seats in the Parliament, more than seven Albanian and Serb parties compete.

Political parties are currently in the phase of submitting lists, they claim victory over each other, but are not known whether the mandate will be two years old or shorter due to warnings of constitutional changes in Serbia.

In the December 24th extraordinary elections in the Presevo municipality, their participation has warned more than seven Albanian political subjects and some Serbs.

Political parties are already in the phase of preparing their election lists, while the deadline for their surrender is eight December, when even officially the pre-electoral campaign begins.

Zeciri Miftari, said the KKZ Presevo Parliament makes up 38 municipal advisers, according to the rules most of them choose mayor of the municipality and the Assembly.

Representatives of the largest political parties have expressed their readiness for participation in the elections, while each claims it will win the elections.

It is still not known whether the extraordinary elections will secure a two-year mandate for political parties, which will form a majority in the next Parliament.

Or this mandate will be shorter because of constitutional changes in Serbia, which are consistently warned, and if elections occur then they will be announced at all levels, political representatives say.
