“MPJ expresses regret and condemns yesterday's act of burning the Macedonian flag by representatives of fans in Pec and Gjilan of the Republic of Kosovo. We expect Kosovo's official services to undertake activities that the perpetrators give responsibility to”, the Macedonian MPJ response reported.

With shouting “U n D K, KLA”, “Without freedom there is no calm”, “Leri for the Liberations” and other similar slogans, a day after the Skopje Criminal Tribunal for the Kumanovo Group's decision, exhumers and some family convicts of this group have held protests in Pristina in support of convicted persons. The protest began at Pajaziti Square in Pristina, from which protesters left towards the Macedonian Embassy. But they were not allowed access to embassy doors by police.

The police asked them not to pass the police cord. As a sign of riots against police, protesters said “this is not the only one and that protests are expected in Skopje” as well. At one point, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj also appeared before protesters at the Macedonian Embassy, calling for calm.

Unlike the Kosovars' revolt over the Court of Skopje's decision, it has begun since last night, where dozens of citizens have gathered in “Square. Skenderbeu” in Pec to protest the high prison sentences they filed in the May 2015 armed clash in Kumanovo.

One of the people sentenced to life in court is Valdet Zakaj, who comes from Peja.

In addition, gathered citizens have also burned the Macedonian flag. Macedonia's Foreign Ministry has also reacted after that.

Macedonia's flag was burned earlier by the fan group “Skifts” from Gjilan.
