Serbian Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication Minister Rasim Lajiq has today declared there are warnings that Kosovo's decision to import flour from Serbia will be suspended.
Lajiq has told reporters in Belgrade that Serbia must reinforce countermatures until this decision is lifted.
We have some warnings that the tax will be lifted, we are not told when, but it is quite certain that we are not followers of any customs wars or countermass. We are followers of the removal of barriers and for free flow of goods”, Belgrade's “politika” quoted Lajiq as saying, broadcasting time.net.
He has clarified that the damage due to the tax has come to Serbian exporters, and it is about 30 mills that have exported flour and sold goods. He has added that the biggest losers are consumers in Kosovo, as the price of flour is now higher there.
