Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj called on the United States during a meeting with US Congressman Eliot Engel in Pristina on Monday to commit to resolving open issues in the Kosovo Euro-Atlantic integration process, Periscopi broadcasts.
“We are seeking your help, helping America pay greater attention to Kosovo in promoting democracy, order and law, fighting crime and corruption, and to free Kosovo for all its citizens”, Haradinaj said.
The US Congressman said that immediately after returning to the United States, he will engage Washington for the “safe commitment to the Balkans and Kosovo”.
The “United States must be included in dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, though it is the EU issue. I am very disappointed with the government's position on Kosovo. You know that Kosovo is still not in the UN because of problems created by Serbia and Russia. Kosovo is trying to join agencies like Interpol, but Serbia is blocking, Kosovo has not joined the U NCO for three votes”, Engel said.
For us, the EU is a mediator, we don't think we're changing any forms, and if some major powers are required, then all major powers will probably be involved, but I don't think it's a given moment in this” game, Vuciq said.. /Periscopi/
