Kosovo was once part of the Roman Empire, then the Byzantine Empire and then conquered the Ottomans. We've been in control for 500 years. Prior to that, Kosovo Albanians were mostly Christians”, he declared.
Graicevci has further said that with the rule by the Ottoman Empire, most people turned into its culture and religion, while the only sin of Albanians was that they were converted to Islam.
As soon as we integrate into the Ottoman field, most people became its culture and religion. That was the only way, we could share in the public life of the empire. It is also why the alliance with the Ottoman Empire was so strong for us. Our sin was that we became part of the Ottoman Empire and converted to Islam”, Graichev declared.
