Often drivers in Albania have complained of unfair fines, and in some cases they may have been right. Yet, there are even more surprising arrests in other countries regarding road traffic.
A 53-year-old woman named Donna Byrne was arrested last Thursday near Lakeland on charges of running a wildly drunk horse and neglecting animals.
Her arrest came after a passerby called the sheriff of Pollock County.
The police immediately set the move and found the woman taking the alcohol test as if she were in the car. Breathing samples showed that she had twice as much alcohol content in her blood as the standard allowed.
Byrne was also accused of neglecting animals, as well as of failing to provide adequate protection for the horse traveling on the road.
There was obviously no reason to be on the street,” Sheriff Grady Juded said.
It not only put itself and the horse at risk but also all those who were moving on the road, which is usually too busy.“, he added.
Investigators said Byrne was previously charged with atrocities against animals.
