Rama stressed that Albania will continue to consolidate its position regarding this aspirations of all Albanians, while added that Albania received a positive recommendation from the EC last year for opening negotiations depending on the property process.
“Albania has begun the property process and with the High Commission, discussed the steps we should take together in the function of consolidating Albania's position in relation to member states, putting a solid report on the European Council table confirming the continuation of progress made and outlined by the commission that last year”, Rama said.
For his part, commissionor Hahn said Albania is on track towards European integration.

“Membership in the EU is a national goal and I think that all social actors should contribute to achieving it. The whole country has a goal and wants the European future, and this is important for us, that all political parties love European integration, and that should be shown by a joint national action”, Hahn added.
He stressed that there is progress in fighting drug trafficking and reducing the number of asylum seekers.

It is important to reach citizens and talk about performance, about the progress society has made”, Hahn said.
Hahn said the time until the report's preparation will be enough to work on our target, which is opening negotiations.
I expect the first results to be expected at the beginning of the year. The ONM team started working and met them before they came to Tirana and impressed me with how much legal experience they have and I believe that we will see the first results very soon”, Hahn said.
