Halil Matoshi, media adviser to the cabinet of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, in a proposal for Koha.net, has indicated the Kosovo government's stance regarding the Astrit Dehar death case.
The family of the deceased and his lawyer, Tome Gashi, during a news conference held today reiterated their request to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, from whom they seek to enable a Swiss institute to make independent investigations into this death.
Among other things, the Dehari family has said it believes in Prime Minister Haradinaj's greatest sensitivity to Astri's death, and expects him to enable a Swiss institute to investigate his death. They have also said that the engagement of this institute remains only in Haradinaj's hands.
Matoshi, meanwhile, has said that Haradinaj's government is committed to making the case internationally white.
The Republic of Kosovo's “Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is committed to clarifying the case even with international expertise”, Matoshi told Koha.net.
He added that Haradinaj has even shared the fund for international investigation, and that this government, according to him, has done its job.
The Haradinaj government at the November 3rd 2017 meeting has allocated another 50 thousand euros for an international investigation into the Dehari case. So this government has done its part of the job”, he added.
We remember that Astrit Dehari died on the afternoon of November 5, 2016, in his cell at Prizren's Para-burging Center. A protest march by the Vetevendosje Movement has been warned for tomorrow, starting between 1500 and the National Library of Kosovo.
