Germany's Federal Information Service (BND) has increased focus on monitoring developments in the Balkans and on this framework, in particular in Bosnia. The main reason for this change lies in increasing Islamic aspirations in the region. In addition, the countries of Golf, first of all Saudi Arabia, are investing huge sums of money to replace the moderate Islam that has so far dominated it with radical Islam or Wahhabi overtones. No other European country in recent years has seen so many jihadist fighters in relation to the number of residents from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As the successor country of the former Yugoslavia, Bosnia, as well as all the states mentioned, is considered a fragile creature, transmits albinfo.ch.
BND chairman Bruno Kahl has said in a speech held two weeks ago that demographic curve is the main factor, the promotor currently running international policy. This, in addition to the growing influx of refugees, is the creation of weak countries that make up a suitable ground for civil wars or serve terrorists as a housing zone or even as an operational zone.
Textually, he said that “Index "fragilge States 2016" in this context shows a rather optimistic picture. In this index, countries like: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine and Russia are represented as countries of the high-class category”.
