Pristina's foundation court has declared Fatmir Limaj innocent of all points of prosecution at the time he was minister of transportation.
Innocents have also been declared Nexhat Krasniqi, Andrew Shala, Telaku Rescue and Florim Zuka.
At the last session held on October 22nd, about 7 hours of hearing have had to be given the final word, and about 3 years it took for this trial process known as MTPT 1&2 to come to an end.
In the trial, where Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj -- along with Andrew Shala, Nexhat Krasniqi, Florim Zuka's Salvation Telak -- has been given the final word by all accused and their defenders.
The first to begin his final speech was Limaj's lawyer, Karym Khan, who took over three hours to complete it.
Khan launched the final word indicating that today is a very important day for Limaj himself, as well as for the judicial process of the Republic of Kosovo itself, since, according to him, it is the possibility of defence explaining that all claims submitted by the prosecutor's office are fully groundless”.
Khan said this case, presented by the Special Police of the Republic of Kosovo, has been a “case of a metaphorically killing” against the Limaj family.
