The European Commission and EU Finance Ministers, shaken by the findings of “Paradice Papers”, promised today the rise in the fight against tax evasion.
This new scandal shows, once again, that some wealthy enterprises and individuals are ready for everything not to pay taxes. European citizens no longer endure and are right. This is unbearable! ”, European Commissioner for Fiscal Affairs Pierre Moscovic said, before launching a meeting with EU finance ministers in Brussels.
The “Commission has done much in the past three years to push European countries to change laws, but much remains to be done”, he added.
These documents published yesterday, which are the flows of documentation on fiscal evasion, known as “Paradice Papers”, constitute the result of an investigation by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), which group 96 media from 67 countries.
