Dodik in defense of Mladic, calls him a hero

The president of the Republika Srpska entity, Milorad Dodik, following today's decision by The Hague Tribunal for Life Prison for Ratko Mladic, has declared that the former Serb Army commander in Bosnia has always been a hero, while his sentence does not present any surprises.

Today's <x0vestation will strengthen the Serbian people even more. Mladic is a hero, because under impossible conditions he has prevented genocide over Serbs, both in BiH and Croatia. This is not the punishment of the Serbian people, but a shameful slap for Serb victims. The judgments cannot affect our historical facts, only history will provide the ultimate answer to who General Mladic is. For him the hero's seat was reserved, because he did it through his army and his people”, Dodik said.

According to him, Mladic has entered Serbian songs and this is their most powerful weapon lasting through time.
