Citaku has also told Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic that UNMIK has already passed the mandate and that, as Citaku stated, Kosovo is already free and secure and that the peacekeeping mission is over. UNMIK is no longer valid.

Ambassador Citaku also asked the UN Security Council leader that these meetings not be held every three months after, according to her, this is a waste of time, Zer writes.

Kosovo organised both parliamentary and local elections in less than 6 months. The exit has been very large in Serb-run municipalities. We are not giving up and believe that soon Kosovo will win. This would not be victory over Serbia, but victory over its right. The Kosovo Army will be a modern army. I want to reassure you that Kosovo remains committed to dialogue with Serbia. We know very well what happens when we disagree with each other”, Citaku said among other things.
