Catalan demonstrators block roads, railways

Roads across Catalonia are blocked today in more than 60 countries, as well as several railway stations from today have warned strikes, Catalonia's communications service announced.
Many blockades have been placed on the streets of large cities in Catalonia, including Barcelona and some of the main arteries.
In the northern town of Girona, demonstrators have passed police control and entered the main railway station, Kosovo Preress broadcast.
The Catalan unions have invited the strike, demanding workers' rights.
Amid dozens of blocked roads, demonstrators have also stopped communications on the AP7 highway north of Girona, one of the main arteries connecting France and Spain. And the main road that ties Barcelona and Madrid is blocked.
The Spanish government has announced new elections for the Catalonian parliament for December 21st, after it dissolved parliament on October 28th and took direct control of Catalonia after it declared independence.
