Mitrovich was arrested in Suhareka in late August on suspicion of war crimes against Albanian civilians in the village of Sopije in this municipality in 1999.
News of the extension of radio contact plus confirmed by his lawyer, Dejan A Vasic, follows B92.
Vasic has called the ongoing detention groundless.
Kosovo's Special Prosecutor has filed charges against Mitrovici on July 18th of this year with the indictment of war crimes against the civilian population.
