Through an announcement on the social network “Facebook”, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati stressed that “Albania will continue to make its contribution to the field of education, science, communication, preservation and promotion of cultural, spiritual and natural heritage”.
This way, we follow as members of the Executive Board for the period 2017-2021”, Bushati said.
Butrinti, Gjirokastra and Berat are among Albania's thousands of years-old cultural assets carrying “passport” and "U" NESTO, where the country has been dating since 1958.
On the list of masterpieces of oral and non-material culture in the world, among the world's 43 most prominent cultural expressions of peoples all over the world, U n NCO also recorded Albanian South Albanian iso-polphony.
While “Berat” Codices figure in the “World memory”
In October 2014, U n NESCO granted a special status protection to spaces around Ohrid and Prespa lakes. In this way, there will be more protection for this area from injuries thanks to the “border reserve” status received from the U NESTO.
But there are also several other archaeological sites that still stand on the W. NESTO, as are the Tombs of Down Square (1996), the Amphitheater of Durres (1996) and the Ancient City of Apollonia (2014).
