Shupenza High School students in Albania's Bulqiza were at school when new furnaces were put to work and the chimney jam filled the classes with carbon dioxide.
Over 60 students aged 16-18 show asphyxia symptoms of smoke, like headaches, vomiting dizziness.
As a result of 36 intoxifications, 36 of them have been transported to the hospitals of Bulqiza and Peshpiza. Three are in serious condition and two hours after the incident at school left for Tirana.
The Ministry of Health helicopters and a special Task Force set up after the event by this minister have been assisted in transport. Police continue their investigation into the cause of the incident, which features asphyxia signs of over 60 high schoolers, the TCC reports.
