In the highest parts of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro since last night, it has been snowed, which caused problems in the normal development of the communition, while some parts of southern Dalmatia have been engulfed by the bad weather accompanied by powerful wind.
As the public company “Rugs of Serbia” announced this morning, snow falls in some parts in western and southwest Serbia, while due to the snow layer on the road, communications has been cut off in the road of Ivanjica Preko Brdo.
Snow at night and this morning is falling on the Serbian mountains of Zlatar, Zlatibor, Jakovnik, Yavor, Murtenica, Cemernica, Tara, Golija and Jabuka.
Snowfalls have also been recorded in the Nova Varos, Ivanjica, Prijepolje and Sjenica, as well as along the river Lim, in countries over 400m above land, which prevents normal communication on the road to the Serbian-Montenegrin border crossing.
Parts of Serbia have already formed a bed of snow that moves from eight to 30cm.
Snow in some mountain areas also has problems with the regular supply of electricity, and some 1,000 residents of Mount Gol are without power for several hours.
Snow is also falling in the highest mountain regions in the middle and eastern parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because authorities recommend careful driving in the roads in these regions.
On Mount Jahorina, it has formed a layer of snow at an altitude of 20 inches [20 cm] and a five - inch [5 cm] town of Kalinovik.
Snow also falls on the northeastern parts of Montenegro, while Zabljak has formed a layer of snow at an altitude of three inches [33 cm].
Snowfalls in Montenegro are also accompanied by strong wind, causing power outages in some mountainous villages.
Meteorologists predict that snow in these parts will continue to fall until tonight.
At the same time, the Dubrovnik region was hit by a powerful, accompanied wind, heavy rainfall, which fell from columns and uprooted trees, while also caused several tilts.
Dubrovnik's fire service has had dozens of interventions for the removal of trees uprooted from roads, while several vehicles have also been reported.
Because of the powerful wind, several lines of traffic from the southern Dalmatian coast have also been cut off.
In other parts of the Balkans, mainly rainy and cold weather is over.
