Catalonone's independence referendum has started chaoticly, with police trying to prevent the vote.
Police officers are blocking numerous voters from entering polling stations, and are also apprehending ballot sheets and boxes. They're shooting rubber bullets at people waiting in line to vote in the Catalonia referendum for independence, and using violence against them and using rubber sticks.
163 schools are occupied by family members. Police are also confiscating voting papers, while prosecutors have ordered closure of voting-related websites and the arrest of officials who are organising the referendum. Yet, Catalan leader Charles Puigdemont told Reuters they would not stop
In a video published by local media, forces sent from Madrid are seen forcibly entering one of the polling stations in Girona.
They are seen breaking the mosque of the school's main door, which was serving as the polling station of Sant Julià de Ramis.
