Las Vegas aggressor's girlfriend, who killed 59 people on Sunday and injured 500 others, said she had no idea of her partner's plan “kindly, dear and quiet”.
Marilow Danley's testimony came hours after police suggested Stephen Paddock was leading another secret life.
They said he probably even planned to escape instead of shooting himself to death, but no more details were given, the BBC writes.
It is still not known why he opened fire on the crowd at a music concert “Accountry”, performing the massacre of the largest mass murder in recent US history.
Padddock's girlfriend returned voluntarily from Philippines to the United States to talk to the FBI about the shocking event.
I never thought he was planning something like that. Never had he been violent,” she said in front of the American authorities.
