“As party chairman, I have the highest responsibility for the election results, and for all this work, the reasons for the results and future direction will be discussed immediately after the elections”, Gruevski said.

He warned that for all irregularities, it will present complaints and analyse what it has contributed to the election results.

“The elections are not complete, while the V MRO-DPMNE is a big party with numerous sympathies”, Gruevski said.

Before the elections, he said, there has been an undemocratic atmosphere, incorrect conditions, a threat to the candidates for mayors of VMRO-DPMNE, an atmosphere of fear has been created, with which they have attempted to influence people.

The “Police have been the chief defender and supporter of these activities and it was placed in party function. On many sides we received information about multiple attempts at direct corruption of voters. Today's election day passed with numerous irregularities and violations of the election code”, Gruevski said.

Gruevski also stressed that there was much information about vote purchases and there were no days when negative campaigns against them stopped, misuse of state resources, and there are also indicators of ballot manipulation, suspicion of vote theft, and all of that had impact on election results.
