It is not yet known whether Serbian judges will take the oath, as they have sought to swear by “tatus neutral”, the newspaper writes today.
More than 40 Serbian judges, who have worked in parallel courts and who have been selected with competitions to integrate into the Kosovo justice system, under the agreement reached in Brussels between Pristina and Belgrade in 2015, have been invited to give the oath before the country's president, Hashim Thaci.
They must swear by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo on Tuesday, so that on 23 October only one day after the local government elections can begin with work in the Court and the Constitutional Prosecutor of Mitrovica under Kosovo's justice system, “Zri” writes away.
But it remains unclear whether Serbian judges will be brought before President Thaci, as their status within the system of the Republic of Serbia has not yet been resolved as they have requested, while they have also sought to swear differently from their Albanian colleagues with neutral status, since, as they have said, this right guarantees Brussels' agreement on the Integrated Judicial.
And under the agreement reached between Thaci and Vuciqi, the work of the Integrated Judiciary would have to begin just Tuesday, October 17th.
