Like most major municipalities, Gjilan will also go to the runoff. And in the race will be Lutfi Haziri from LDK and Sami Kurteshi from Vetevendosje. The Democratic League of Kosovo is leading the VV, with about 15 percent, writes Periscopi.

VV candidate Sami Kurteshi has said of Periscopi that a major role in Haziri's victory has played the methods he and his subject have used that, according to him, are blackmail, fraud and jobs that have recently been done to appear to be working in that municipality.

He has said that the Vetevendosje Movement has had a 100 per cent increase, while he said a non- easy runoff awaits them.

There's a relatively difficult run-off with LDK, which is somewhere around 15-16 percent ahead of us. We think we've had a 100 percent increase, but this has not been enough for victory, but we still think that in the run-off we'll be able to win the country”, Kurteshi said of Periscope.

Kurteshi also hopes on supporting other parties in Gjilan, but that they have not yet made a decision on whether to extend the official invitation to support the runoff.

The majority of subjects in Gjilan have not been satisfied with the ill-governance of the LDK and Lutfi Haziri, and I think that they too are willing to cooperate with Vetevendosje as the second force to distance this” government, he said. /Periscopi/
