Resurrected Agim Veliu

The fine received days earlier by PZAP for the inclusion of children has not influenced the LDK candidate for the mayor of the Podujevo municipality, Agim Veliu, not to repeat the action.

The panel has sentenced Veliun to 3,200 euros in fines, this time for the inclusion of children at an election rally in Staff of Podujevo.

BIRN and Internews Kosova has filed complaints against Veliu about the involvement of children in the campaign. The current chairman and LDK candidate for another term as Podujevo Mayor Agim Veliu had published several photos from the rally held at the Podujevo End, where it is seen the presence of persons under the age of 18.

BIRN and Internews Kosovo's claim has been accepted as based on PZAP in the 16 October decision. According to the decision, it has undoubtedly been found that Agim Veliu has violated the Electoral Rule 13/2013, Article 5.2., which stipulates that: “in the election field of no certified political subject can't be included for persons who haven't turned 18-x1>. The panel, for such a violation, has imposed a penalty of 3200 euros.

Political Subject Claims The LDK, in response to the complaint, that the persons in the photo cannot be treated as minor” The panel has regarded them as unstable to the fact that they are contrary to the test subject.

BIRN and Internews Kosova has consistently forwarded the campaign and sent complaints to PZAP against all political subjects participating in local elections, and as a result of reported violations, fines have been imposed for subjects and candidates.

Agim Veliu was sentenced to fine 3,000 euros on 14 October for the same reason -- the involvement of children in the campaign.
