Minimials are the likelihood that within a short time Kosovo will be lifted visas with the European Union (BE), as Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has promised.
This is due to the failure of the Demarcing Agreement with Montenegro, as well as the failure to fight corruption and organised crime, writes “Zer”.
These two criteria (demarkation and fighting corruption) are being initiated by all top international officials visiting Kosovo, as well as by their accredited diplomatic representatives in the country, under which, without the fulfillment of these two Kosovo criteria, no visas are lifted from the EU.
In fact, Kosovo is the only country in the region that does not have the right to visa-free movement in the EU, which citizens of neighbouring countries have enjoyed for more than half a decade.
The country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, has stated on Thursday that visa liberalisation could bring fulfillment of the criteria of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (MSA), but has not ruled out the condition for demarcation as well.
The SAA's “implementation is automatically the matter that brings liberalisation. We know that this is also about demarcation, because the agreement that is not ratified by both parliaments is draft agreements. We will not make any discovery”, Haradinaj said. /Sound/
