Protesters interrupted the opening of a Roman Polanski respectary film in Paris, following new rape charges at the address of Franco Polish producer.
About 80 protesters, outside French cinematique, which is showing Paulanski's films, went up the window and wore slogans such as “If rape is art give Polanski all Cesars” awards.
Two members of the Femen group even briefly displayed their breasts and called out, no honour for rapists, all under the eyes of Polanski, before the security teams pulled them out.
Polanski, who entered the building through a back door, had to present his new film based on a real event. Earlier this month, Swiss prosecutors said a former German actress and model had told authorities that Polanski had raped him in his mountain house in 1972 when she was only 15.
She is one of four women who earlier accused 84-year-old Polanski of sexual aggression when they were in adolescence. The charges are much older in time than those of Hollywood tycoon Harvey Weinstein. Polanski, director of classical films such as “Pianist” and so forth, has left the US after being convicted in 1978 of illicit sex relations with Samantha Geimer, at the time only 13-year-old, in a process in which he himself admitted guilt.
