Police Planned for Local Elections

Maxhuni said that establishing a peaceful and secure climate for all Kosovo citizens, as well as keeping order, calm and public security in the country before, during and after the election process, is a priority for the Kosovo Police.
Maxhun urged all senior police superiors that all duties and police plans for the elections be realised with high, impartial, ethical and willing professionalism and vision of the KP.
The meeting was discussed that in order to provide security and manage the election process under operational orders, a sufficient number of police officials of different profiles, belonging to different units within the Kosovo Police.
The operational planning has envisioned implementation and implementation of the police operation in four phases, as is initiated by the pre-election or priced period, then commitment to providing security during the pre-election campaign, engagement and ensuring security in the key phase of election day as the day (Z), as well as period after elections envisioning transportation under PK's hand and security until the end of the process.
Kosovo police have taken additional measures, also appointing police co-ordinators with the CEC and other institutions engaged in the process, as well as announcing all police officials regarding their legal duties and responsibilities during the election process.
At the same time, those in attendance were also discussed about the initiative and prosecution of any criminal acts against the right of voting and the enterprise of all procedural/penal measures against anyone who conflicts with the country's laws regulating/sanciating illegal actions towards free and democratic elections in co-ordination and close co-operation with the State Prosecutor according to the action plans and preliminary agreements based on law.
Kosovo police, at the helm of its management, remain committed to accomplishing its legal duties and responsibilities professionally, transparent and impartially confronting citizens and the country.
