Government's decision to back off from replication for membership in U NESTO is considered one of the government's two diplomatic failures, following withdrawal from its application for membership in INTERPOL, Koha Ditore writes today.
The foreign affairs ministry's coverage that it will not apply this year came only after Serbian officials announced in advance that Kosovo is not in the order of days in U NCO, and they're working on it.
Now Kosovo should be expected until 2019, as the General Assembly of this agency meets once every two years. As with INTERPOL, the government argued the setback due to unfavourable circumstances for Kosovo and following the suggestion of the United States of America and CUINT. In the MPJ, they have not shown the real reasons for the postponement and lobbying that has been done to seek membership this year.
