The LDK branch headquarters in Cline expressed deep concern over President Hashim Thaci's meetings with the mayoral candidate from PDK ranks, Mr. Sokol Basota, as well as the PDK branch structure in Kline, during his visit to this town yesterday, says the LDK DK's statement from Kline.
“Consistent that such intervention of the head of state and meetings with candidates for mayors in time of campaigning are attempts at minimising democracy and expressing the president's bias, in this case, to his former subordinates at PDK”, says the party statement.
According to the statement, head of Kline Sokol Basota and his register cannot save President Thaci, nor can he strip him of accusations of corruption and misuse of money and public wealth.
The LDK branch in Cline reminds President Thaci of the constitutional obligation the head of state to be apartheic, apolitical and impartial in relation to political developments.
