During this, the forum at a meeting has had controversy between Gashi and the director of the so-called “Zyra for Kosovo”, Marko Djuric.
This last one has sometimes named at this meeting the Kosovo issue as the “Kosovo and Metohija”. However, Kosovo deputy has reacted sharply to that stance of Djuriqi. In a prononosis for the Internetline, LDK deputy Arben Gashi has indicated more about the case.
According to him, it was unacceptable not to react to this controversy.
I have had Kosovo's official stance, and I have also stated that in Serbia there is a need for profound changes in the way of politics and constitutionally. In the first place, it has to do with my statement on Kosovo at a meeting with a public debate where Mr. Djuric 13 times mentioned the word Kosovo and Metohija, and I told him if you continue with this I can address you because this language does not take us anywhere. I also told him that he must change his opinion about Kosovo because Kosovo is an independent state and has its own constitution, has all its official assets, internationally recognised borders, and Serbia should also accept these”, Gashi has said.
On the other hand, he added by saying that after his speech, there was an anti-responsion from Djuric.
The third <x0-element is that in Serbia there must be constitutional changes to remove Kosovo from the constitutional arrangement in Serbia. There has also been a reaction from Mr. Djurd, I think you're against his normal reaction, he's glad I'm in Belgrade and I can say those things freely without fear of something bad. Even if something like that were to happen, I am a representative from Kosovo and I give the positions of this country regardless of whether the other side agrees” has ended it. We remember that at this meeting, Marko Djuric has said that even Arben Gashi says changes in Kosovo are necessary and that we need these changes to have the future. But according to him, their country needs constructiveity and not destructive approach.
