During the past year, two countries had recognised the country's independence. While government officials give promises that they will soon bring new recognition to the country, opposition and political analysts criticise “diplomacy clouded”, the Zeri newspaper writes today.
As the last country ( 114th) to recognise Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, Bangladesh is continuing to remain the only state to have brought recognition to the Republic of Kosovo during 2017.
Although New Government Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli, like his predecessor Enver Hoxhaj, is continuing to pledge that he will bring new recognition to Kosovo, the opposition considers this impasse is coming as a result of poor governance over the years.
While representatives of “Determination” say that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the past mandate had unpaved in terms of recognition, LDK officials consider that this dictatorship in new governance is showing even weaker than the previous one.
On the other hand, even political connoisseurs consider that the process of recognition is not producing any results. Regarding this issue, they say, have influenced numerous factors, ranging from the policy done improperly on the part of Kosovo, entry into talks with Serbia to the propaganda of the latter at the expense of Kosovo.
