Posting a spot in his account to “Facebook” from chairman The PDK, Kadri Veselini, will cost 3,000 euros in fine “arches” of the party he heads.
Electoral panel for Ances and Parashtre (PZAP) has found a complaint filed by BIRN and Internews Kosova, under which the mayor of Kosovo The PDK has posted a spot with images from an election rally in Malisheva, in which persons under the age of 18 are seen as being involved.
B IRN and IKS have found that the move conflicts with provisions in implementation that regulate the behaviour of political parties, since engaging in the campaign of persons who have not turned 18 on election day is specifically forbidden.
The PDK in its reasoning presented before PZAP has stated that children seen in the video are of candidates and that everywhere in election practices, children of the candidate are seen in different photos and videos.
At least, in the PZAP decision, no indication is given that the PDK has concretely presented any such practice.
Reasons given by the PDK have not been able to avoid the fine imposed by PZAP, which has found that the complaint of BIRN and IKS is based.
As a result of complaints by BIRN and IKS so far all major parties in the country have been fined as a result of the Kosovo Election Law violation, while KALLXO.com has reported on all these cases.
