With the appointment appointed to the position of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Nenad Ricalo has faced charges by opposition MPs. Ricalo is being accused of torturing Pristina citizens during wartime.

And of these charges, residents of Dardania neighbourhood in Pristina have spoken for themselves, who have confessed the torture of Minister Ricalo and his brother Gorani.

For even this LDK deputies, days ago they initiated the motion by which Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj called for the dismissal of Riston, but that motion failed to get the majority of votes. Out of 68 deputies while in the hall, only 27 MPs voted.

On this issue, Democratic League of Kosovo Parliamentary Group Chief Avdullah Hoti said he regrets that Prime Minister Haradinaj is obliged to keep Minister Ricalo in his cabinet.

“I regret that Prime Minister Haradinaj is obliged to keep a person inside his cabinet, as there are accusations, and this is an insult to all Kosovo citizens, and in particular to the victims if the charges against him are proven”, Hoti said.

Hoti stressed that he hopes the law bodies will be very efficient in whitewashing public charges citizens have made against Minister Ricalo.

“We in the preliminary government had set very high standards, so that people in any circumstances that have come against the law do not serve in such positions”, Hoti said.

Asked about the concrete steps that will take from now on, including the possibility of holding any protest on the dismissal of Minister Ricalo, Hoti gave no details saying that “cannot now speak something about this”.

We remember that in the time of government Mustafa, Minister for Communities and Return then Aleksandar Jablanovic, due to the insult he had made to mothers in Gjakova, was dismissed from this post following the protests that had been held. /Telegraphy/
